On Thursday morning we celebrated our wonderful Dads. It was wonderful to see so many Fathers, Carers, and Grandads attend the Father’s Day Liturgy to acknowledge and celebrate all they do for us. Thank you to all the classes who participated in the Liturgy and to the staff for their preparation.
The science experiments were a hit in each class as the Dads and their children explored their understanding of science and their inquiry skills. Prep were busy conducting a colourful skittles experiment, Year 1 were experimenting with quantities to make the perfect playdough, Year 2 were busy designing catapults and the ultimate paper airplane, Year 3 were busy creating rain jars and even storms, Year 4 were mixing and taste testing their own sherbet and Year 5/6 had the challenge of building bridge using spaghetti and marshmallows.
The morning was finished with a pie and drink. Thank you Weipa Bakery for making them, they were delicious. Wishing all our Dads a wonderful day on Sunday. Happy Father’s Day!
A special thank you to the P&F and the volunteers who assisted with the running of the Father’s Day Stall today. They did a wonderful job in ensuring the children had a special treat to spoilt Dad with this Sunday.
